I was looking for a mentor and could not find one. So I built United Mentors
When I started my first business I knew almost nothing.
I did not know what unit economics were. I had no idea which metrics to track or why. I could not tell revenue from profit in practice — not in theory, but in a living business where there is money in the account and nothing to pay people with.
What I needed was a person. Not a book, not a course, not a business trainer with beautiful slides. A working entrepreneur who had been through it and was willing to speak honestly.
I could not find that person. There was no platform and no clear way to reach the right people. Either an expensive consultant with credentials, or a friend of a friend who “sort of knows”.
In 2018 I created United Mentors so that other entrepreneurs would not have this problem.
Since then I have found myself in an environment I could only dream of before. Around me are entrepreneurs from dozens of fields with extraordinary experience and breadth you will not get on any course. Some mentors have become personal friends. My business horizons have grown more than in all the previous years combined.

The mentor is not paid straight away
Your payment is held by the service and released only once the quality of the work is confirmed. If something goes wrong, you get a refund.
Every pair works with a curator
They help set up the process from day one and act as an arbiter if a dispute comes up. You are never left one-to-one with a stranger.
Everything is documented
After payment you can propose a mutual NDA to your mentor right in the shared chat. Acceptance and the contract version are recorded by the system.
