Terms of Service

United Mentors international website and platform
Version 1.0 · Effective 1 August 2026

1. About these Terms

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the English-language United Mentors website, accounts, matching tools, communication features and related platform services (together, the “Platform”).

The Platform is operated by the following Russian sole proprietor (the “Operator”, “we”, “us” or “United Mentors”):

These Terms are written in English for the international market. The separate Russian-language documents on unimentors.ru govern the Russian-market service and are not translations of these Terms.

2. Business use and acceptance

The international Platform is currently offered only to customers acting in the course of business, trade, craft or profession. By creating an account, requesting a mentor, accepting an order or using paid services, you confirm that you are not acting as a consumer and that you have authority to bind the business you represent.

If you are not a business customer, do not purchase services through the international Platform. Contact us first at hello@unimentors.ru so that we can confirm whether an appropriate service is available.

You accept these Terms by using the Platform, ticking an acceptance box, confirming an order in writing, or paying an invoice. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

3. What the Platform does

United Mentors helps business customers find, assess and work with independent mentors. The Platform may collect your request, arrange an introductory meeting, provide a shared workspace, facilitate payments, support the mentoring relationship and handle service concerns.

A mentor provides professional experience, opinions and practical recommendations. Mentoring is not legal, tax, investment, medical, psychological or other regulated professional advice unless a written order expressly says otherwise and the mentor is duly authorised to provide it.

We may decline, pause or close a request where it is unlawful, creates a sanctions or compliance risk, falls outside the Platform’s scope, or involves abusive, unsafe or deceptive conduct.

4. Accounts and acceptable use

You must provide accurate, current information, keep your credentials confidential and promptly notify us of unauthorised account use. You are responsible for activity performed through your account to the extent permitted by law.

You must not use the Platform to:

  • break applicable law or evade sanctions, export controls or taxes;
  • infringe rights, disclose another person’s confidential information or impersonate anyone;
  • upload malware, probe security, scrape the service or disrupt its operation;
  • harass, discriminate against or threaten another person; or
  • circumvent the Platform to contract or pay a mentor introduced by us during an active order or for 12 months after its completion without our written consent.

5. Paid mentoring services

A paid mentoring engagement is governed by the applicable order, invoice, written confirmation and the B2B Client Terms (together, the “Order”). The Order identifies the scope, mentor, price, currency, sessions and any special conditions. If these Terms conflict with an Order, the Order prevails for that engagement.

The rules for appointment changes, missed sessions, complaints and refunds are set out in the Booking, Cancellation and Refund Policy.

6. Content, confidentiality and data

We and our licensors retain all rights in the Platform, its brand, software, templates and materials. We grant you a limited, non-transferable right to use the Platform for its intended business purpose during your use of the service.

Information exchanged by a client and a mentor may be protected by a separate mutual NDA. The current international template is available at Mutual NDA.

Our processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Notice and our use of cookies and similar technologies is described in the Cookie Notice.

7. Disclaimers and liability

We use reasonable care in operating the Platform, but cannot promise uninterrupted availability, a particular mentor match, the accuracy of user-provided information or a specific commercial result. Business decisions remain your responsibility.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, neither the Operator nor a mentor is liable for indirect, consequential, special, punitive or loss-of-profit damages. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Law, disputes and changes

These Terms and non-contractual obligations connected with them are governed by the laws of the Russian Federation, excluding conflict of laws rules. Before bringing a claim, the parties will try to resolve it in good faith by email within 14 calendar days. Any unresolved dispute will be submitted to a court with jurisdiction at the Operator’s registered location, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.

We may update these Terms by publishing a new version. A change does not alter a paid Order already accepted unless the parties agree in writing or the change is required by law. The effective date above shows when this version began to apply.
