2. Data we collect
Depending on how you use the Platform, we may process:
- identity and contact data, such as your name, job title, business, email address and telephone number;
- account and authentication data, including account identifiers, login events and security records;
- business request and profile data, such as your industry, objectives, professional background, mentor profile and materials you choose to submit;
- communications and mentoring-workspace data, including messages, files, scheduling information and support correspondence;
- commercial and payment-administration data, such as invoicing details, payment status, tax information and bank information required for a payment or refund; and

Please do not provide passwords, payment-card data, private keys or other authentication secrets in the Platform or during mentoring.
3. Why we use data
We process personal data to:
- create and secure accounts, provide the Platform and match clients with mentors;
- enter into, administer and perform a business Order, including scheduling, payment administration, refunds and support;
- communicate with you about a request, account, service change or support issue;
- prevent fraud, misuse, security incidents and unlawful activity, including compliance and sanctions screening where appropriate;
- maintain records, enforce agreements and protect the rights of users, mentors and the Operator;
- improve the Platform through aggregated or de-identified analytics; and
- send marketing communications only where permitted by applicable law and subject to any choices you make.
We rely on the performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in operating a secure business platform, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where consent is required. If UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies to our processing, the corresponding lawful basis applies to the same purpose.
4. Who receives data
We share personal data only where necessary for the purposes above. This may include the mentor or client involved in your engagement; hosting, authentication, communications, analytics, invoicing, payment and professional service providers; and competent public authorities where disclosure is legally required.
Recipients acting for us must use the data only for the agreed purpose and protect it appropriately. A mentor and a client may each be an independent controller for the personal data they use in their own business activities; each is responsible for its own lawful processing.
5. International transfers
The Operator is established in Russia. Data may therefore be accessed or processed in Russia and in other countries where our service providers or the participants in an engagement are located. We assess such transfers and use safeguards required by applicable law, such as contractual commitments, where they are available and appropriate.
If you are located in the UK or European Economic Area, you can contact us for further information about the safeguards relevant to a transfer of your personal data.
6. Retention and security
We keep data only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, to perform an Order, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, meet accounting or legal requirements, or protect the Platform. The exact period depends on the data and context. We may retain a limited record where necessary after an account is closed.
We use reasonable organisational and technical measures designed to protect personal data. No system is perfectly secure; please use strong unique credentials and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised account access.
7. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict personal data, object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or receive a portable copy of data you provided. You may also opt out of marketing communications using the unsubscribe mechanism or by contacting us.
To make a request, email hello@unimentors.ru from the account email where possible. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity and will respond within the period required by applicable law. Where UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, you may also complain to the relevant data-protection authority.
8. Cookies and changes
We use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Notice. You can control many cookies through browser settings; blocking essential cookies may prevent the Platform from working properly.
We may update this notice when our processing or legal obligations change. We will publish the new version here and change its effective date. Material changes to an ongoing paid engagement will be notified where required by law or contract.
